Dreams about airplanes...?

I always have dreams that I'm going to die in a aireplane crash..what does this mean?

First things first: are you a frequent flyer? I deplore dream dictionaries because they don't account for instances of people who dream of cigars who work in the tobacco industry. Someone dreaming of a cigar who doesn't work in said field would probably have a different meaning for that dream than someone who did.

Secondly, the ability to foretell the future is a plot-device for movies. 99.99999% of people cannot predict anything, let alone their death, which always makes me wonder why they think they might have suddenly become psychic.

Dreams of death usually relate to a fear or insecurity inherent in a person. And if that fear had been subconsciously stimulated by something the person saw or read about (news about a plane crash in Buffalo was on AT&T homepage recently,) the mind will use that instance to make the person aware of it. Of course, since most people aren't very good at dream interepretation either, alot gets lost in the translation.

It could be that your dream was connected to a past event. Sometimes, memories get associated with surrounding circumstances, so that if your bf broke up with you on the day a plane crashed (whether or not you realized it consciously) your fears of a plane crash are really about the experience of your bf not being fully processed and dealt with. Thus, everytime you hear or read about a plane crash, or everytime you have relationship troubles, the dreaming mind gets the call to start the sequence.

Knowing the details surrounding the dream, especially recurring dreams, helps in pinpointing what their underlying cause is. Oftentimes, just making a list and said associations can lead to the 'a-ha' moment of what the dream was about and why it occured.

To see an airplane in your dream, indicates that you will overcome your obstacles and rise to a new level of prominence and status. You may experience a higher consciousness, new-found freedom and greater awareness. Perhaps you need to gain a better perspective or wider view on something. If the airplane is taking off, then it suggests that an idea or plan is about to "take off" and be put into action. It may also represent you need to get away and escape from your daily life.

To dream that you transfer planes, implies an important transitional phase in your life which will take you away from your intended path. These changes will take you to new directions and new heights of status and recognition.

To dream that you miss your connection flight, indicates that you are feeling helpless and trapped by some situation. You feel that you are being held back, either physically or mentally. Alternatively, the dream may also suggest that you are feeling disconnected in some aspect of your life - work, relationship or home life.

To dream that an airplane is hijacked, signifies disturbing feelings and past emotions in your unconscious mind. **See The Meaning In Action: "On The Airplane" & "Plane Crash"

Airplane Crash
To dream that a plane crashes, suggests that you have set overly high and unrealistic goals for yourself. Your goals may be too high and are impossible to realize. You are in danger of having it come crashing down. Alternatively, your lack of confidence, self-defeating attitude and self-doubt toward the goals you have set for yourself is represented by the crashing airplane; you do not believe in your ability to attain those goals. Loss of power and uncertainty in achieving your goals are also signified.
