Prison

To dream that you are in prison indicates that you are being censored in some area of your life. You feel that your creativity is being limited and that you are not allowed to express yourself.

To see someone else in prison in your dream signifies an aspect of yourself that you are unable to express freely.

To dream that you or someone is released from prison means that you need to make some major changes in your waking life. Eventually, you will overcome your obstacles

To dream of prison represents feelings of confinement or restriction. You can't do what you want or feel held back. You may feel forced to do something or to give up something. Feeling trapped in a situation you can't get out of. Feeling repressed.

Alternatively, dreaming about being in jail may reflect feelings about discipline or consequences. Feeling that you are being punished.

Dreaming of being in a prison may reflect feelings of being stuck in a relationship that isn't benefiting you anymore. Feeling that your life revolves around keeping someone else happy

Example: A woman dreamed of being locked in a prison by a man with a "rat hood." In waking life she felt trapped in an unhappy marriage that she couldn't leave because her husband had too much control over the family finances including the children's college education fund.

Example 2: A man dreamed of being in a prison cell. In waking life he was in a hospital and they wouldn't let him out.

Example 3: A man dreamed of being trapped in jail and wanting out. In waking life he was having serious doubts about going through with his wedding. He felt trapped in the relationship. He ended up cancelling the wedding and ending the relationship.

Example 4: A woman dreamed of being inside a hospital jail. In waking life she felt stuck in a failing marriage that she was trying in vain to improve.

Imprisonment in a dream means benefits, money and comfort. It also could mean the reversal of one’s condition for the worst. Becoming a prisoner in a dream also could mean making unnecessary and wasted efforts to unveil a secret. In general, prison in a dream means difficulties and humiliation. If one sees a known personality or a government administrator imprisoned or jailed, it could mean the same. If one sees himself incarcerated in a large prison in a dream, it means that he will stand before a strong person who will delegate an important responsibility to him, and from which he will gain spiritual advancement. If he is incarcerated in an unknown jail which is built from plaster in a dream, then it represents his grave. If one sees himself locked and tied-up inside a house in a dream, it means a positive advancement in his life. If in such a place one sees himself being tortured in a dream, it means that his benefits and profits will be greater. If a woman sees herself imprisoned in a dream, it means that she will marry an important person or an older person. If in one’s dream the prison is administered by a religious authority, it means that one correctly prescribes to his religion. If it is a civil prison, then it means adver- sities, sufferings and distress caused by hypocrisy and by blaming others. An unknown prison in a dream means the world. Walking out of such an imprisonment in a dream means relief from such adversities If one is travelling, it means that he is a heedless, and if he is sick, it means that his sickness is a prolonged one. It is also said that imprisonment in a dream may mean that one’s prayers are answered and that his difficulties and distress will be removed. If one sees himself incarcerated in an unknown jail of an unknown location and whose dwellers have uncommon appearance in a dream, such a prison then represents his grave. If a sick person sees himself walking out of an unknown prison, or out of a tiny house into a large open space in a dream, it means that he will recover from his illness and fully enjoy his life. If one sees himself incarcerated in a prison he does not recognize in a dream, it means that he will marry a woman through whom he will prosper and have children. If one sees himself tied-up inside his own house in a dream, it means that he will profit and witness blessings that will show in his household members. If one who is experiencing difficulties in his life sees himself tied-up to a chair or to a wall in a dream, it means that his problems and fears will be dispelled. If one sees himself building a prison in a dream, it means that he will meet a righteous man, or an Imam who will guide him on the straight path. A prison in a dream also represents paralysis, arrogance, self-deception, or incarcerating troublesome people. If one sees a deceased person in jail in a dream, it means that he is in hell. If one sees himself imprisoned in a dream, it also means that he may enter a forbidden place, a house of a prostitution, or a tavern.

Making Out

To dream that you are making out with someone suggests that you have an subconscious desire to pursue a relationship, but fear that it will jeopardize the friendship. If you don't like this person in this way, then the dream suggests that you need to acknowledge and incorporate aspects of this person into your own character. Consider specific traits that this person possess.


Inside Out

To dream that your clothes are worn inside out represents your non-conformist attitude. You like to go against what everybody else says or does.

To turn your clothes inside out in your dream suggests that you are trying to protect yourself against something. You don't want to get hurt.


Left Out

To dream of feeling left out represents feelings of being deprived, misunderstood, or threatened. You may also have feelings of abandonment or not being included.

Expecting fathers very commonly dream of being left out. This most likely reflects their feelings about their partner being more focused on the baby than them. A sign that you may need to try to be more patient with your wife's condition or be more open about your feelings to your wife.


Out Of Body Experience

To dream of an out of body experience represents an objective awareness of yourself or who you are as a person. A situation that causes you to see yourself in a new way or be critical of yourself as person. It may also reflect self-criticism or noticing what's wrong with yourself.

Alternatively, an out of body experience may simply be a symbol for awareness of yourself doing nothing or not progressing in some area. Negatively, it may reflect your concern that "every other thing" being done and not the most important issues.

Famous celebrities or people with a public life may dream of standing outside their bodies to reflect their awareness of their public image being different from their private life. The body is then a representation of their awareness of their cultivated famous persona.

Athletes may have out of body experience dreams to reflect their professional concerns with their body being an effective tool to compete.

Example: A man dreamed of seeing himself while he clung to the ceiling. In waking life he was having problems going any further with his personal development spiritually. He was "noticing himself" having reached the limits of personal growth. He felt he couldn't go any further.

Example 2: A man dreamed of seeing himself sitting in bed having hallucinations. In waking life he was aware of himself having hallucinations and choosing to not tell anyone about them or seek treatment.


Prison Camp

To dream of a prison camp represents feelings of confinement and restriction that feels purposely unbearable. Punishment that looks for new ways to make sure you don't enjoy yourself. Feeling that restrictions are being adjusted to keep you unhappy. Feeling that restrictions being placed on you are for someone else's benefit. Accommodating the expectations of others to the point of unhappiness. Feeling restricted to work only. Trapped in a work setting.

Example: A young girl dreamed of trying to tunnel out of a prison camp and escape. In waking life they were living in a very strict home and carefully trying to get around the rules in secret.


Prison Guards

To dream of a prison guard represents you or someone else that is concerned that a restriction holds. Feeling that repaying debts or suffering punishment is mandatory. Feeling that nobody will help you escape the consequences of your actions. It may also reflect a person or situation that is making sure you face your karma whether you like it or not.

Alternatively, a prison guard may represent acceptance of your own guilt. A part of you that knows your guilty and must do something about it. Punishing yourself or feeling that the consequences must be repaid. Restricting your own growth or happiness.

To dream that you are a prison guard represents your wish to restrict someone else or make sure they face the consequences of their actions. It may also reflect your attempt to make sure that debts are repaid or the punishment is experienced in full. Not letting someone off easy.

Example: A man dreamed of being handed a white bible by a prison guard. In waking life he was actually in prison and felt that he had to change his ways because he knew he was guilty.

Spitting over something in a dream, or blowing over a knot and spitting on it with an imprecation in a dream means witchcraft.


Spell Out

If one speaks or spells out something that is supposed to remain a secret in a dream, it may mean reaching an elevated position, gaining respect for one’s words and opinions, or it could mean speaking publicly about one’s charities.


Setting Out

Setting out to command what is good and to forbid what is evil in a dream means benefiting others and comforting them. If a sick person sees himself standing up to defend proper moral values, to explain what is true and to refute what is false in a dream, it means that he will enjoy a quick recovery from his illness. If one sees someone’s infant setting out to walk in a dream, it means that it will take him a longer time to walk.

To dream of a penitentiary may represent. long term confinement or restrictions. You may also feel that your whole life is about being limited or not allowed to do what you want. Alternatively, a penitentiary may reflect confinement or restrictions that feels terrible or totally controlling.

Dreaming of a penitentiary, denotes you will have engagements which will, unfortunately, result in your loss. To be an inmate of one, foretells discontent in the home and failing business. To escape from one, you will overcome difficult obstacles.


Concentration Camp

To see or live in a concentration camp in your dream indicates that you are afraid of differences. You are having difficulties accepting others and their differences. Learn to appreciate diversity and the uniqueness in yourself and in others around you. If you actually lived in a concentration camp, then the dream may signify a situation in your waking life which is triggering similar feelings felt at the time.

To dream of a concentration camp represents a problem that you believe or fear may never end. You may be questioning whether or not you will ever move on from a problem. It may also reflect self-doubt or pessimism.

Alternatively, a concentration camp may reflect an embarrassment that you feel stuck with and see no end in sight.

To dream that your lover is in jail, signifies that this lover is deceitful and untrustworthy.

To dream that you are in a boot camp represents your need for discipline and rigid rules. You need to have a better focus on your goals. If you have been through boot camp, then the dream may represent the feelings you were going through at the time. Something in your current life is triggering those similar feelings. Alternatively, the dream may represent your need for a new start or fresh beginning.

To dream of boot camp represents feelings of being pressured into perfect discipline or compliance. Boot camp may also reflect a very big change in your life as you move into a new phase. A fresh start or new beginning while under intense pressure. Feeling that you have to succeed whether you like it or not. A lot of information or change in a very short period of time.


Cage

To dream that you are in a cage indicates that you are experiencing inhibitions and powerlessness in some areas of your life. You are feeling restricted, confined and restrained in a current relationship or business deal. Somebody may be keeping a short leash on you, where you are lacking the freedom to act independently.

To dream that you are putting a wild animal into a cage signifies that you will succeed in overcoming your rivals and fears. It is also symbolic of your ability to control you animalistic rages and anger.

To see a bird in a cage suggests that you are feeling limited in your expression and a sudden lost of freedom. You may be experiencing frustrations and an inhibited spirituality. The dream may also imply that you are feeling like a "jail bird".

To dream of a cage represents some area of your life that is restricted, confined, or restrained. You may feel that someone is keeping a short leash on you or that you are lacking the freedom to act independently. Unable to achieve your goals. You may have repressed desires.
