@PeacePlz: they weren't certain? that was the core of the Gospels and of the epistles! they were KILLED for claiming to be eyewitnesses to it! people here are saying why would God kill a prophet? Jesus said if you receive a prophet for a prophet's sake, you won't lose his reward - then why would He cause those who preached His Gospel of the Kingdom to have to be martyred, doing just as Him, all without fighting back?
I don't see where the contradiction is?!
We believe that the Jews thought it was Jesus because he looked like Jesus, but they weren't certain, that's why Sura 4:157 says:
[4:156] (They are condemned) for disbelieving and uttering about Mary a gross lie.
[4:157] And for claiming that they killed the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, the messenger of GOD. In fact, they never killed him, they never crucified him - they were made to think that they did. All factions who are disputing in this matter are full of doubt concerning this issue. They possess no knowledge; they only conjecture. For certain, they never killed him.
[4:158] Instead, GOD raised him to Him; GOD is Almighty, Most Wise.
[4:159] Everyone among the people of the scripture was required to believe in him before his death. On the Day of Resurrection, he will be a witness against them.
Sura 19:33 " And peace be upon me the day I was born, the day I die, and the day I get resurrected"
We will all be resurrected on the day ofjudgmentt!
Example: Do you guys actually believe?
Islam and Christianity both believe Jesus Christ will come back before the end of the world and he will kill the anti-Christ.
A human can not come back to life once he is dead they are dead.
13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:

the Qur'an states:
And when Allah saith: O Jesus, son of Mary! Didst thou say unto mankind: Take me and my mother for two gods beside Allah? he saith: Be glorified! It was not mine to utter that to which I had no right. If I had ever said it, then Thou wouldst have known it. Thou knowest what is in my mind, and I know not what is in Thy Mind. Lo! Thou, only Thou, art the Knower of Things Hidden? (116)
I spake unto them only that which Thou commandedst me, (saying): Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord. I was a witness of them while I dwelt among them, and when Thou tookest me Thou wast the Watcher over them. Thou art Witness over all things. (117)
If Thou punish them, lo! they are Thy slaves, and if Thou forgive them (lo! they are Thy slaves). Lo! Thou, only Thou, art the Mighty, the Wise. (118) Allah saith: This is a day in which their truthfulness profiteth the truthful, for theirs are Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they are secure for ever, Allah taking pleasure in them and they in Him. That is the great triumph. (119)
Unto Allah belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is therein, and He is Able to do all things. (120)
Example: How did Prophet''s(PBUH) sons die?
I know they died while very young but how?
Jesus claimed to be God in the flesh. He couldn't have merely been a "good man" or a "good teacher" because He claimed to be God! Therefore He was either a LIAR, a LUNATIC, or He was telling the truth!
The Old Testament contains about FOUR HUNDRED AND TWENTY-FIVE prophecies about the Messiah. Here is a small sample (in roughly chronological order): Who do YOU think Jesus is based upon these prophesies?
GOD WOULD COME TO EARTH
BE BORN AS A HUMAN MALE
Isaiah 9:6-7 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. ... 700 B.C.

She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins." All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: "The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel" --which means, "God with us."

He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide by what he hears with his ears; but with righteousness he will judge the needy, with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; with the breath of his lips he will slay the wicked. Righteousness will be his belt and faithfulness the sash around his waist. 700 B.C.

I am a 17 year old white male who was raised in the the Bible belt. I have grown up listening to the Bible and I have been raised that Jesus is God's son and died to save our sins. But lately I have heard people talk about Islam and I have started to become curious. I know that Islam excepts Jesus as a prophet but not as God's son recently I have started to question my faith and I am not sure what to do I live in a midwestern state that is very conservative. So I cannot seek help here does anyone know where I can seek guidance everybody around here is devout Christian I would just like to learn about true Islam and not what the priest around here say about it.
Please I am not sure what to do I kind of feel like I am turning my back on Jesus but at the same time I feel like the koran offers enlightenment.
Thank you for the help.
The state I live in is Oklahoma so if there are any places here I can visit please direct me to there.
