Example: Pagans/Wiccans only please!?

Okay, so I'm a NeoPagan. Midsummer/Summer Solstice is coming up, and I need to know what I have to do in order to host a good ritual. I'm a solitary Pagan, and I know I'm going to cast a circle and do some meditation, but I need some other ideas.
Is there anything important I have to do on that special day?
What herbs should I use?

I've been a Pagan for less than a year, so this is all pretty new to me.

Oh yeah, and non-believers who think I'm talking a load of rubbish, you can have a good laugh at my question, and I can have a good laugh at your answer. Simples.
