Example: Very SYMBOLIC DREAM Meaning(s)?

I had a dream that I was in my kitchen, and there were two spotted chicken eggs. They were very small in size, and they were contained in a tall glass. I was holding a zippo lighter under the glass (probably to heat them up) and suddenly, the top egg cracked open, and a fully grown chicken popped out. I ran to my bedroom which was exaggerated in size and messiness, and the chicken ran into the mess. Mt mom was very angry and threatened to kick me out.

What could this mean?

Yep - I see what you mean about the symbolism! Since my name is chook, I thought I'd better have a go at this one! Hope I don't get it wrong though, cos that would be embarrassing and I would have to change my name! (Just kidding!)

A kitchen is like the hub of family activity. Personally, I think it is the most central and important room in any home. It's also where most of the cooking takes place - eg symbolically, it is a very nurturing room. So I think this is setting the scene for your dream. Your dream is mainly about your family life.

Well eggs are a symbol of new life, perhaps new ideas or a new phase of your life? The eggs are small, meaning that this new idea, phase of life, whatever it symbolises, is underdeveloped in some way. Also, they are spotted eggs? Chicken eggs aren't normally spotted so not really sure about this. Might symbolise disease ( eg chicken pox) or a defect of some kind? Quail eggs are small and spotted so it is interesting that you called them small spotted chicken eggs rather than large quail eggs? I guess it is all a matter of perception. Another thing about eggs is that they are a food with no restrictions in Judaism. (I really don't know very much about this at all but with a name like Salem I just thought this might be relevant to you in some way and worth thinking about whether this fits in somewhere). Also, there are two eggs, this will be important in some way, eg you have two issues, to conceder in your new phase of life, or something like that, but I'm not terribly good at number symbolism in dreams.

Glass and zippo lighter
Not really sure about the glass except to say it isn't normally somewhere you put eggs really. I guess a glass is something you can see through, eg you can see what your new phase of life is, but you are a bit removed from it at this stage. Eg you aren't carrying the eggs in your hand, they are in a glass where you aren't directly touching them.

You are using the lighter to warm the eggs and "incubate" them. Eg, you are trying and want this new thing in your life to work.

The chicken
When the egg hatches and it is a fully grown chicken, I think that is just saying that when the idea/new thing finally comes to fruition, it will be fully developed. Chickens are one of the very first creatures to be domesticated and have been domesticated for more than 10 000 years. That would really fit in with the symbolism of the kitchen too. Chickens are very useful and if you keep them they are really low maintenance. I think essentially the dream is about you becoming a useful member of your family or a useful member of society. It's about you becoming "domesticated"..

Chicken flies into your bedroom.
Ok, now your dream starts of in the kitchen, the hub of family life. Eg, you think the way to become useful/domesticated is to concentrate on your contribution to the family as a whole. HOWEVER! When the chicken hatches, you retreat into your bedroom and the chicken goes too and straight into the mess. Your bedroom is a place where you go to be alone, and a place where you sleep, eg rest and recuperate. It is the one room where you can express your self through what you put in it. The bedroom symbolises the very essence of you in the dream. In your dream your room is very big and messier than normal, meaning you need to clean up you're own act before you try to help others. The chicken is highlighting this by flying straight into the mess and forcing you to look there. (It probably also means that your Mum would like you to contribute to family life by first keeping your room tidy!).

In your dream, you are worried that your Mum is going to kick you out. I think this is just highlighting your anxiety that you won't be able to fulfil your family responsibilities. Don't worry, I don't think your Mum will really kick you out.

In summary, the way through to your next phase of life and be central to your family and to society in general is to first focus on yourself and keeping your own affairs in order (and literally keeping your room a bit tidier would probably help too).

Well, I hope this made some sense to you, for my own ego's sake more than anything else really (lol). If not, any suggestions for a new avatar name would be most welcome.

PS: I guess I have a different perspective on chickens than most people!.

Example: Dream about alligators?!?

What does it mean to dream about alligators, these were not wild alligators they were someones pets! They had their own room and at bed time they were locked in a cell? I was terrified of them so much that I wouldn't step on the floor and ran out the window...

That about all I remember it was a weird dream.

Example: What is the meaning of this dream?

I've been trying to figure out if there's any meaning behind this but I haven't found anything I'm satisfied with.

I dreamt I was walking along a marketplace where they have stalls selling all kinds of food. I remembering browsing around for things when I noticed how much - that is, virtually all - of the the food was meat. Not only that, but a lot of this 'meat' was still apart of the flesh of animals that were still half alive. A lot of these vendors were cooking animals that hadn't been killed yet and were slowly being boiled or roasted to death. The sight was extremely gruesome. These animals weren't necessarily domesticated for meat in waking life; there were dogs, cats, goldfish - everything. I remember being very upset (I'm a vegetarian in reality) and I think I may have cried when I remember a dog looking at me helplessly with its eyes as it lay dying. I had to run away to throw up somewhere.

This dream really disturbed me. What could it mean?

Example: What does this dream mean?

My friend had a weird dream the other night, and I was hoping someone could help us figure out what it means.
The dream started out with her rubbing a dogs belly. It then goes to her giving head to her pet chicken. (She's been away for a few months and someone gave it to her as a present.)
I did some research and found that a chicken can represent fertility or pride. Not too long ago, her boyfriend and her were talking about having kids. She doesn't want them, while he does. They argued a bit over it.
I think the dream might have had something to do with that, but we're not sure. Can anyone help?

Example: I had a wonderful dream last night, can somebody say what it means?

Ok, my dream in detail: I was hanging out with some friends and when I went home, it started to rain, I live in a block and not far from my block, there was a dog. As I went closer, I saw it was a pit bull, and even in my waking life though I never owned one, I just love that breed, those who think they are vicious killing machines are ignorant but I don't care. When I approached him (Yeah, it was a male) at first, he was a bit aggressive, but since I'm a big fan of the Dog Whisperer show, I saw many episodes and I was so attentive that I actually learned quite a few methods (in my waking life my last dog was a Golden Retriever, and I used some methods, they did work very well) and I remembered the methods in my dream and applied them, and the pit bull instantly was calm and submissive. Don't ask me how, but somehow I had a quite big bowl, a box of Pedigree, and fed him. I wanted to go in my apartment, but the pit bull followed my, I realized that he accepted me as his owner and pack leader, so I called my mother to say about the events, and she said that the dog can stay for one night, so I let him follow me into my apartment and my mom and my little brother loved that pit bull instantly. I followed Cesar Millan's methods and applied them in my apartment too, you know, the no eye contact, no physical contact and no speech thing. As the dog eventually adapted to my apartment, we began to pet him a bit, and as I say how calm and submissive he was, I gave him more food, but then I didn't think we could keep him because he already had a leash around his neck and I thought he already had an owner so I planned to make an announcement that I found a pit bull and want to return it to it's original owner the next day (of course in my dream). In my dream the next day, my mom entered my room and said to me that she said ,I decided to keep him!'' I said ,Mom, I would love to, but he already has a leash, who knows if he had a previous owner?'' Mom ,I know, but who knows how the owner treated him, I think that you would be a better owner. Besides, you always wanted to own a pit bull!'' me ,You are right after all! Thank you God'' I remember putting my palms together as I was thanking God, you know, like I was praying, and greeted our new dog into our home. That's all! If somebody explains to me what the symbols of this dream mean and what is the general conclusion, I would really appreciate!

Example: Please forgive me for asking, what does this dream mean?

my entire house is empty and looks badly abandon for some odd reason. Then the bathroom door is being open by these 2 women. From the hallway distance where I was standing at, I see like 4 or 5 small children taking shower or being bathed by the very same 2 women.

May someone please explain to me this strange dream meaning?

Example: Anyone know what caterpillars mean in a dream?

I Dreamt that I was grocery shopping with my boyfriend, and that my nose kept itching and that it felt tickled. So, I went to blow my nose, and little caterpillars kept coming out. (WEIRD, I KNOW!)
I kept panicking & saying, "I hope they don't cocoon in there! they'll sufficate if they do"

I recall hearing that caterpillars represent "a change" is coming, but what does it mean when they're inside you, or coming out of...?

Example: What does it mean when you dream a white, domesticated boa (snake)?

I dreamed I had a huge white boa as a pet, and I was showing it to some friends. I was telling them she was sweet, and such a good pet, although it made me nervous. I was also going on about how rare it was because its skin felt like feathers. I kept it in a glass tank, and I was walking towards it but I never got to see it. What could it mean?

Example: What does this dream mean?

I dreamt that I was with my wife (I'm not actually married, it was just in the dream) and she had been teasing me (sexually) all day; finally I just lost it and forced myself upon her. (I'm not sure it was rape because she seemed to want it but I didn't ask her and she seemed shocked.) Anyway, yea...does it mean anything? (I'm female by the way but in the dream I was able to "change the plumbing" at will.)

Example: Dans Dream what does it mean?
