Example: What does my dream mean?

a few months back,i remember i had this dream, where i was placed at this big super market like wal mart, but it was supossed to be the one where i used to work a year ago (soriana).i was standing there, faking to be checking prices as a normal customer, and suddenly i started looking at the cameras and took this thing from the tools, this package of connectors from usb to normal audio entry (i need one for my cellphone, but havent found one in the whole earth) and i placed myself behind a column, opened the package and saved all in my pokets, and when i turned i saw this weird camera that went down and had like spider legs and started to walk through the hallways...suddenly i was on the ail where i used to work (paper and office items...pretty interesting, huh?,also the toys, sports, gifts and curiosities ails...they ran out of staff) and started stealing markers and stuff...then,i went out of the super market and i ride this sportive motorcycle, but i was downtown, not where the super market used to be,and i started go down the street, and when i realised tehre was something on my shoulder,i noticed it was this weird dodo bird,it had an aviator's old hat with the sunglasses, the dodo was blue and had the eyes like AXL frog...cant remember what he said...yes,he was able to talk...anyways,what was that supposed to mean?...i know, very large dream, but i was freaked out when i woke up,i never dreamed of something like that...and usually, when i dream,i cant remember what i dreamed

That's a trippy-*** dream. It's also wierd because I had a dream about shoplifting involving spatial displacement recently. The store I stole from in my dream was about a quarter of a mile from this house I used to go to when I was younger. In reality they're close to 50 miles away from each other. And it was my uncle's house, and in reality he lives like 200 miles from here. I rode a motorcycle from the store to the house and I could hear sirens on the way to the house. In the end of my dream, the cops caught me at the house, drove me back to the store and made me pay for the items - which were completely different from the ones I remembered stealing.

I think your dream probably means you should look at alternate means about getting the things you want. Figuratively, stealing didn't work for you (thus, the trippy-*** camera spider thing) so you should examine different ways of obtaining your desires. Mine probably means that I am confused about what I want and need to decide that first and then choose the appropriate course of action for gaining those desires.

The motorcycle coincidence is strange though (mine was sporty too). The only thing I can tell you is I've been playing a lot of Grand Theft Auto lately. Maybe you need to lay off of the GTA.

Example: What does this dream mean?

i dreamed i was transported to a tropical rain forest to teach dodos how t ofight with flamethrowers. i tryed to tell them how but they ate the flamethrowers and turned into beetles(the bug) and started singing i am the walrus by the beatles. the dodos then turned inot elephant birds and started eating dwarf sicilian elephants. then the t rex form jurassic park came and ate a lawyer in a bathroom stall. i was then on a stage and had to teach a carnataurus how to breakdance or they would change its name to meat eating bull. the carnataurus learned how to breakdance but went on a rampage and turned everyone into koala bears and they started eating leaves. the ni was told to come sail away with someone and i said no and he said come sail away with meeeeeee and then i dreamed i was riding a dragon of earth and then a monkey ate a gorilla and said windup car here and a herd of chameleons stampeded and started streedt dancing and they said raspberrys are delicious and nutritious and then i dreamed i was eating a granola bar and then an albino corydora catifsh jumped out and said hyper beam and used hyper beam and the world exploded and i respawned in a pile of koala bears.

Okay, it's really weird:
Everyone in my class was there, along with other people that I had never met and yet they were my friends. We could all breathe underwater. We came up into this red cave, and everyone took out their cell phones. They put them in the air, and a bright light orb floated in the middle. One of the unrecognizable friends was this gay guy, who went across the world to meet a guy he liked. Turns out, those weird cave meetings were inevitable, and he begged me (talking on the phone, of course) to cover for him. I said no problem, changed into a mermaid, and swam away to do something important. (Wait, it gets WEIRDER) The scene suddenly changed. I was standing on my front porch in the middle of the night. However, it wasn't my neighborhood. It had hundreds of house, all on fire. Suddenly, there was a guy in my class lighting MY house on fire. Obviously, I was like "WTF?!" However, he just said "It's for the best." For some strange reason, I believed him. I walked through the neighborhood, and saw a huge bird (kind of like Dodo from Alice in Wonderland) singing a weird song, almost a drone, in front of a house, and the fire went out. He proceeded to do this for many other houses before I woke up.

Another one?
Alright then: (This one is shorter)
I was standing in my house, and walked through the door. Suddenly I was at Sea World. I fell into the dolphin feeding pool by accident, but I was saved by some friendly dolphins. I then proceeded to swim with said dolphins, performing tricks and stuff with the happy music playing in the background. Then, a blond Sea World worker in a wetsuit pulled me out and told me that they would have to arrest me. I was like, "Aww, really?" and she was like "Yeah, sorry." They took me to this big white house, two stories with the top floor gone, with two windows and a doorway, no door. It had all of my stuff, but it looked empty. Then I woke up.

One last one:
I was on a huge ship. Like, HUGE. As big as 3 Carnival cruise ships put together. However, it was just one floor. The room was filled with kids. We were being smuggled somewhere, being hidden. Our parents had put us on. Instead of rooms, everyone had their stuff on the floor: bed, books, clothes, everything. Everything shifted slightly whenever the ship rocked, but everyone seemed used to it. I made friends, then woke up before I could ask what we were running from.

I do not understand my brain and its obsessively obsessive obsession with weird dreams. Help?

Example: Drowning but surviving dream?

I had a really vivid dream last night. I was relaxing next to a pool during the setting the sun. The sun just so happened to turn red and became a little bigger because something had crashed into it and when that happened a big breasted female decided to join me for a swim. Overtime we swam but we had to get going soon, well she did anyway. She dropped most of her belongings in the pool. She said that while we were swimming to get her things I could grab her breasts at the same time. I guess I was desperate to reach for first base huh lol?

As I was swimming grabbing her breasts, going down further to get her things, I never went up for air once, I then started to lose consciousness and began floating to the top. The next thing happened after that is that I was walking towards a place dressed up and my hair had went from black to a little bit of gold. Right after going out my door there was this large flamingo/dodo bird about the size of an ostrich looking creature that landed on my right side and disappeared behind the building. I just looked and walked away and saw my hair again that turned gold.

What do you think this mean?

Example: Do my weird dreams mean anything?

i have had a few strange dreams in my time but they are getting even more strange by the night. im confused as to weather they really mean anything or they are just random thoughts that i am having while I'm asleep. i recently dreamt that i had to save dodo birds from a zip wire. does anyone have any ideas?

Example: What does a dodo bird symbolize?

I have a statue of a dodo bird. The statue is from Madagascar, and there were only 2 of it's kind ever made.
I've had it for almost exactly a year now and I suddenly started wondering what a dodo actually symbolizes in different cultures and traditions.
You know like a snake can symbolize a lot of different things in dreams/cultures/etc.? Well, doesn't every animal have some specific meanings? (I mean more in a spiritual direction, if possible...)
I couldn't find anything on google, maybe someone here can help?

Example: Why are dreams so strange?

Just in general. Why are they so weird? Just last night I dreamed that I was hunting the Dodo bird then this alligator came out of the sky with a purple hat on and tried to eat me floating down from the sky on balloons. I looked down and saw water, then I turned into a jelly fish and swam away in chocolate filled oceans with the alligator floating back up to the sky.

So, why are dreams so strange?

Example: I had this crazy dream where I was walking up walls and there was water dripping from the floor to the ceiling

I was walking around, and then I realized I could walk up the walls at which point the water on the ground that was dripping onto the ceiling shifted to normal in which the water dripped from the ceiling to the floor. I don't quite understand what it means, but it felt sort of like I should take a new perspective on things.

Example: Why is dream interpretation categorized under social SCIENCES?

The dodo bird verdict doesn't show that psychotherapy is a science. Besides, it has been found that some approaches are generally better for treating certain disorders. That probably means that every hypothesis needs revision because no hypothesis behind any approach can thoroughly explain the complexity of a human. However, even if dream interpretation was shown to be genberally more helpful with particular problems, I wouldn't accept that as evidence that the hypothesis is correct because, as far as I know, dream interpretation doesn't rely on a clear cause-and-effect model like the behavioral and cognitive-behavioral approaches do.

I understand how difficult it would be to create e method for quantifying dreams, but you can still measure subjective evaluations as long as they're expressed in the same context, such as the context of a scale of importance or a scale of vividness.
